The OCT allows us to look at the different layers of the retina and cornea in a non-invasive way. It is very helpful in the diagnosis and management of retinal conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy, macular conditions such as Age-related Macular Degeneration, and optic nerve conditions such as Glaucoma.
The Clarus 500 Fundus camera allows us to take clear wide-field photos of the inside of your eye. Along with the true colour imaging, it also allows fundus autofluorescence and infrared imaging. This instrument can help us diagnose and monitor certain eye conditions using the advanced imaging technology.
Just like topographic maps used for infrastructure or outdoor activities, we can take topographic measurements of your eyes. This allows us to see changes in the shape of the cornea. These measurements can be useful for help in diagnosing and managing corneal conditions, fitting contact lenses, and measurements for corneal surgeries.
Visual Field testing is used to measure the degree and location of vision loss in each eye. It can be used to help diagnose and track eye conditions such as Glaucoma or Retinitis Pigmentosa, as well as conditions along the visual pathway. Visual field tests can also be used in support of visual function screening for driving.
